Abstract

The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of self-esteem on job satisfaction of Makassar Container Terminal employees; To test the effect of self-efficacy on employee job satisfaction at the Makassar container terminal; To test the effect of work motivation on employee job satisfaction at the Makassar container terminal; To examine the effect of organizational commitment, this study aims to determine the job satisfaction of Makassar Container Terminal employees. The analysis was carried out using an explanatory survey method with a quantitative descriptive approach. The population of this study were Makassar Container Terminal employees, totaling 223 people. The sampling rate technique involves 25% of the population, because of the total population so that the sample becomes 60 respondents. The collected data were then analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. The results of this study found that self-esteem, self-efficacy, work motivation and organizational commitment affect employee job satisfaction.
