Abstract

The industrial sector has experienced a significant surge in Digital Transformation, often conceptualized through the paradigms of Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0. Concurrently, leadership has assumed a pivotal role in steering organizations through the complexities of such transformations. Despite its importance, leadership in the context of Digital Transformation remains underexplored from a comprehensive perspective. This study seeks to identify the most relevant leadership styles within this context. By conducting a structured literature review, the research maps key leadership attributes using a Digital Transformation framework. The paper’s primary contribution lies in illustrating how leadership styles can drive organizations toward becoming more sensing, intelligent, sustainable, and socially responsible. Additionally, the findings offer practical managerial insights, providing a tool to define the leadership profiles essential for navigating an organization’s journey toward digital maturity.
