Abstract

The article provides information on the Human Relations Area Files (HRAF). According to the author, HRAF was developed as a file material for comparing researches of world cultures at Yale University. The author mentions the effort of the National Museum of Ethnology to promote the utilization of HRAF. In the National Museum of Ethnology, the author adds that HRAF is not only used in the research, but also in the classification of the owning material like the specimen material and the document books material.
