Abstract

Boron neutron capture therapy (BNCT) is one of useful cancer treatments. So far, it has been performed at nuclear reactors, but many of these reactors have been shut down. Several accelerator based BNCT (A-BNCT) facilities have been constructed in recent years, and many are still under construction and planning, since it is usually very difficult to build a new nuclear reactor, especially in or near a hospital. In this review, A-BNCT facilities around the world are introduced.
