Abstract

Prevention is an essential part of cancer control and should be integrated in every (national) cancer control plan. Several players are involved and should take up their respective responsibilities. Governmental organizations Governmental organizations have the obligation to support cancer prevention by legislature. They can promote healthy living and avoidance of carcinogenic risks by: ▪ Developing a national cancer control program with the integration of prevention.
