Successful pregnancy in a renal transplant recipient taking cyclosporin A

Abstract

There have been several reported successful pregnancies in renal transplant recipients receiving conventional immunosuppressive agents. A recent multicentre trial, however, suggested that cyclosporin A is more effective than conventional immunosuppression in these patients. We report the first case of a pregnancy in a renal transplant recipient taking cyclosporin A as the only immunosuppressive agent.
