Abstract

The invention is aimed at overcoming the problem of the rotation of brush seals relative to one another and relative to their housing. A capsule is provided in which the brush seals are placed side by side and retained by a spring. The spring can be preloaded to a desired minimum force and is retained by deforming the end of the capsule in contact with the spring. Relative rotation of the capsule is prevented by deforming a portion of it into one or more recesses in the housing.
