Abstract

A review. Structure activity relationship of 3-his motifs in a variety of Fe(II)-dependent non-heme mono-iron enzymes are reviewed. Taurine/α-ketoglutarate dioxygenase (TauD) and cysteine dioxygenase are two typical enzymes whose structure activity relationship of their 3-histidine motifs are discussed in detail.
