Abstract

Two coordination polymers, Zn7O(cpda)3(OH) 3 (1) and [Tb(H2cpda)(Hcpda)(H2O)] ·(H2O) (2) (H3cpda = 5-(4-carboxyphenyl)-2, 6-pyridinedicarboxylic acid), were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, FTIR spectroscopy, TGA, PXRD, and single-crystal X-ray diffraction. Complex 1 has a 3D framework structure with high thermal stability and complex 2 exhibits 1D chain structure. Luminescent measurements indicate that complex 1 shows strong ligand-to-metal charge transfer (LMCT) luminescence, while complex 2 exhibits the characteristic emission of Tb3+ ions.
