Abstract

Epidermolysis Bullosa is a rare hereditary disease with genetic etiology in the vast majority of cases. It is characterized by the formation of blisters and ulcers on the skin or mucosa, caused by trauma or tissue manipulation. This disease has several subtypes, of which the recessive dystrophic is one of the most serious, with significant stomatological manifestations that deserve special attention from the dentist. The objective of this study is to report a clinical case of a 9-year-old patient with recessive dystrophic epidermolysis bullosa, addressing dental treatment with a focus on the particularities of the patient with epidermolysis bullosa.
