Organisational culture in a Peruvian university: an administrative view, 2022

Abstract

The objective of the study was to learn about the current organizational culture in a university in Ica, from the opinion and perspective of the administrative workers. The research design was qualitative, phenomenological-descriptive and the sample consisted of 20 workers in the administrative area of the university. The participants of the study indicated that they feel in constant personal and professional development, with an optimal work environment and teamwork being one of the most important factors within the culture that the organization wishes to have, all this together is a fundamental part of any company, having an organizational culture is the essence by which an institution works, whether private or public. As a general conclusion, it was found that the organizational culture of the university under study in the city of Ica is positive; it has a system of beliefs and institutional values that have been developed over time and has been imparted among its members, which has led to the achievement of important goals such as accreditation, licensing and the reputation of the institution.
