Call the Coach: Opportunities and Challenges for Parent Coaching in Pediatric Type 1 Diabetes

Abstract

In the article, the author discusses the challenges and opportunities in coaching parents on the proper management of their children with pediatric type 1 diabetes. Also cited are her 2020 Richard R. Rubin Award, the importance of teams in clinical work and research, her volunteer work with Doctor Jill Weissberg-Benchell and the diabetes team at Children's National Hospital in Washington, D.C., and her doctoral program on child health psychology.
