Human rights of older persons

Abstract

This article presents an encyclopedia entry on the problem on ageism and the denial of human rights of elders. Although the United Nations emphasized the importance of protecting human rights of elders, they still have not made document on the identification and specification of these human rights and their importance. Older people are subject to exploitation in the form of physical, sexual, financial or emotional abuse.
