Abstract

O artigo apresenta reflexões orientadoras da construção do consumo de bebidas alcoólicas como objeto sociológico, inclusive das formas proscritas articuladas à definição de patologias ou ao desrespeito a regras morais. Mediante considerações sobre o investimento acumulado por processo de pesquisa em curso, a autora destaca os dilemas éticos e epistemológicos enfrentados por antropólogos que se dedicam ao tema.This article presents reflections on how alcohol consumption is conceived as a sociological object, including proscribed forms linked to the definition of diseases or disregard for moral norms. Through considerations on the accumulated investment in a research process currently under way, the author highlights the ethical and epistemological dilemmas faced by anthropologists who focus on this issue.
