Abstract
Obesity is reflected in the corporal distribution of fat deposits, turning into an aesthetic condition that affects the population in general. For its management, there is a non-surgical, effective and safe technique called ultrasonic hydrolipoclasy, this being a therapeutic alternative for the management of adiposity. The objective of the study was to apply to the 64 patients, the treatment and determine the anthropometric measures before and after two weeks of treatment. The weight two weeks after the treatment decreased by 2%, the waist decreased by 8.0%, the percentage of body fat decreased by 6.4%, the muscle mass increased by 1.3% and the waist circumference index versus waist decreased by 0.2%. In conclusion, hydrolipoclasy offers a reduction of deposits of localized adiposity, but not to lose body weight significantly. Patients after only one application showed waist loss by 8% without applying a diet and/or physical activity.
