Abstract

The present review provides a comprehensive overview of the theoretical understanding of inorganic, non-carbon fullerenes and fullerene-like particles. Special emphasis is placed on the description of structure, stability, and electronic, magnetic, and mechanical properties of layered compounds ' hexagonal boron nitride, metal sulfides, and chlorides. © 2010 WILEY-VCH Verlag GmbH & Co.
