Abstract

A concise account is given of this disease in Indonesia. Factors unfavourable to the fungus are low R.H., high temperature and ultra-violet insolation. A method of forecasting epidemics has been devised, which is based on running daily totals of sunshine weighted according to the deficiencies of the previous 3 days. This enables dusting with fungicides to be done only when necessary.-Roy. Neth. met. Inst, de Bilt. (Abstract retrieved from CAB Abstracts by CABI’s permission)
