Abstract

Currently, big environmental problems are caused by used packaging waste. Unfortunately, not all this waste, such as paint cans, can be easily decomposed. The design of this spray paint refill machine aims to reduce spray paint can waste by refilling liquid and compressed air for reuse in the painting process. The stages of the design process for this tool begin with drawing sketches, then making working drawings with the inventor application to analyze the frame, determining the appropriate machine components, calculations on the machine components, and the last was fabrication process. The spray paint refill machine has a frame size of 275250440 mm using hollow steel (2020 mm), which is subjected to static load testing on the part affected by a 15 N of force. Based on the results of static load analysis shows that the design of the machine frame is appropriate to withstand the applied force. The test results of this tool spray paint refill machine can work optimally, and there are no problems when filling into spray paint packages.
