The Current Status of Faculty Development Internationally

Abstract

The article focuses on an increase in changes in the higher education leading to steady growth in faculty development programs internationally for which several conferences of the organization International Consortium for Educational Development (ICED) has proved to be helpful. It discusses the definition of faculty management and mentions several efforts made in this area including no faculty development activity, voluntary faculty participation and mandatory participation for new teachers.
