Abstract

The morphological and behavioral development of three litters (1 male; two females; two males and two females) of coyotes reared in confinement is presented. The data include: patterns of behavior and associated morphological changes in ingestive, eliminative, contactual, and care-seeking processes; interactions among sibs and between adults and neonates; and the development of agonistic behavior in coyote pups. © 1967 American Society of Zoologists.
