Abstract
Secondary metabolites (polyphenols, lignin, polyols, polyosides) can be used as chemotaxonomic markers within the Gym nosperms. Examples are presented at three systematic levels: existence of Prespermatophytes, originality of the Pinus genus, polymorphism of Juniperus thurifera. © 1990 Taylor and Francis Group, LLC.
