Determining the specific features of the work of the agricultural production system is impossible without conducting research on the prospects for digital transformations in the field of agriculture, substantiating the necessary factors initiating the processes of its widespread digitalization, assessing the degree of readiness of economic entities working in the agricultural sector for a comprehensive update of their technical and technological base, and system mechanisms responsible for the organization of intersubjective relations. The purpose of the study conducted in the article is to develop conceptual and theoretical provisions aimed at creating the necessary conditions conducive to the implementation of competent and effective digital transformations in the field of agriculture including the assessment and analysis of subsequent prospects from the digitalization of this area. The theoretical and methodological basis of the research conducted in the article was the scientific work of scientists in the field of informatization or digitalization of agriculture, the use of digital mechanisms for organizing the management of the agricultural sector, normative and legislative acts regulating the mechanisms of interaction between individual subjects of the digital economy. The authors have identified key groups of factors that determine the key features of launching processes in the field of digital transformations in the field of agriculture. A comprehensive model for organizing platformdigital solutions for digitalization in the agro-food complex is proposed. The model describes the work of groups of subjects, their goals and objectives, functions within the digital ecosystem being created taking into account a wide range of end-to-end tools offered by Industry 4.0
