Abstract
Comments on the article by Jones et al (2003) who reported an absence of flashbacks in the symptom reports of ex-servicemen from the Second World War awarded pensions for post-combat disorders. Consistent with the report of Jones et al, the present authors also found a striking difference in the prevalence of flashback symptom severity across generational cohorts in a study they conducted.
