Abstract

Admixture mapping is a statistical methodology that detects genetic variants in recently admixed populations that are responsible for ethnic differences in disease risk. Three software packages are now available for admixture mapping and we provide a brief overview of the statistical methods and other principal features they implement. © The Author 2007.
