Development of Multicultural Education Management Model (MMPM) in International Primary School

Abstract

Objective: to develop a Multicultural Education Management (MPPM) model in international elementary schools to build an inclusive educational environment and respect diversity.   Theoretical Framework: Multicultural education is an urgent need in the context of globalization, where cultural, ethnic, religious, and language differences must be managed effectively so that students have broad insights, tolerance, and the ability to interact in a multicultural environment. International elementary schools were chosen as research objects because of their high diversity and the need for a management system that is able to accommodate this diversity.   Method: This study uses a research and development (R&D) approach with the Borg and Gall model. Data were collected through observations, interviews, questionnaires, and documentation studies. The research subjects involved principals, teachers, students, and parents in several international elementary schools. Data analysis was carried out qualitatively and quantitatively to ensure the validity of the research results.   Results and Discussion: show that the Multicultural Education Management model developed focuses on four main aspects, namely: planning, implementation, evaluation, and strengthening of multicultural culture. This model emphasizes the importance of the role of schools in developing policies that support diversity, integrate multicultural values in the curriculum, and build an inclusive learning environment. In addition, teacher competency training and development is one of the key components for the successful implementation of this model. The implementation of MPPM in international elementary schools has proven to be effective in increasing students' understanding of cultural diversity, forming an attitude of mutual respect, and minimizing conflicts caused by differences.   Research Implications: The practical and theoretical implications of the research are discussed, providing insight into how the research results can be applied or influence practices in the field of education. These implications may include school management as it relates to multicultural education in primary schools.   Originality/Value: This study contributes to the literature by this model can be a reference for other schools in implementing sustainable and effective multicultural education management.
