Abstract

The present work proposes to study and spatialize different degrees of landscape integration in the periphery of the northwest axis of the city of La Plata, Argentina. It is intended to verify that the current urban configuration, the result of the growth of the sector in recent decades, does not contribute to achieve an integration of the territory as a landscape. Thus, the methodological approach presents two main instances: the first combines the survey of the structure and urban configuration with land uses and the level of consolidation of the urban fabric. The second incorporates landscape issues and determines the level of landscape integration based on the composition of the different urban pieces in one of the sectors with the greatest growth of the district.
