Abstract

ABSTRACT: The undulant growth in the inventory and the sustained growth in the per capita sheep and goat consumption in Colombia, creates the opportunity and/or the need to take the most not only of the comparative advantages, but also take the chance to promote the generation of competitive advantages that take sheep and goat breeding in the way of competitiveness and globalization, taking advantage of the opportunities in the domestic and export markets. The efficient use of comparative advantages and the generation of competitive advantages involve incorporation of data, information and knowledge as factors of production within an orderly process under the framework of a “Knowledge Management” system. This work addresses a reflection on the contributions that could emerge from the general systems theory, the matrix of knowledge creation, evolutionary epistemology and knowledge cybernetics for the conceptualization of a Knowledge Management System for sheep and goats breeding
