Abstract

From observations carried out in the intertidal sands of the Island of Sylt (North Sea), Prostomatella arenicola Friedrich is a typical inhabitant of this Wadden Sea area. Its morphological characters are redescribed. The life cycle of P. arenicola appears to be univoltine. © 1981 Biologische Anstalt Helgoland.
