Abstract

A case of persistent, ashy-grey, macular eruption in a 52 years old woman is reported. Clinical and histological features were suggestive of erythema discromicum perstans. In describing this case the Authors discuss the nosological arrangement of this rare disease and the possible relations with lichen planus pigmentosus.
