Abstract

Synonyms Meshfree method Definitions Meshless methods are commonly used as spatial discretization in order to solve partial differential equations. They have advantages over other popular methods such as the finite element methods. For instance, they do not rely on a mesh facilitating volume parametrizations and modeling problems with moving boundaries. Most meshless methods are higher-order continuous which is advantageous for the efficient solution of higher-order partial differential equations.
