Abstract

This essay provides a summary of editorial priorities and details a series of steps being taken to aid Journal of Communication's continuing mission to present high-quality communication research. Insights are offered based on our editorial team's first six months of shepherding the journal. In addition, a number of theory- and method-related points are detailed to allow potential submitters to gain a better sense of the types of work we are seeking to publish in the journal. The piece closes with thanks to a wide range of individuals, groups, and institutions.
