Abstract

Teaching Turkish as a foreign language is a functional area that has gained importance in recent years. Listening, speaking, writing and reading are the language skills in this process. Teaching writing, a skill that concretizes the language, consists of some certain steps and stages. The stages of teaching writing can be listed as alphabet, word, sentence, paragraph, and text instruction. The process of writing in Teaching Turkish as a foreign language is composed of stages which are motivation and prior information, sample text analysis, preparation, drafting, writing by editing, correction and publishing. The person to give the education needs to have the competence of grammar, discourse, communication, and culture.
