Abstract

Avian polyomavirus can infect multiple bird species and cause inflammatory disease with high mortality in young psittacine birds. In this study, we sequenced and analyzed an avian polyomavirus isolated from a pigeon in China, strain APV-P, which is closely related to a polyomavirus in psittacine birds.Avian polyomavirus can infect multiple bird species and cause inflammatory disease with high mortality in young psittacine birds.
