Abstract

Breastfeeding a baby is the nature of women in the world. Breastfeeding has many benefits for the baby, mother and family. Advantages for babies, ASI be able to meet the nutritional needs/adequacy of babies until the age of 6 months, ASI has antibodies that babies need to avoid infectious and infectious diseases, ASI increases body resistance. For mothers, breastfeeding provides advantages in terms of practicality, meaning that mothers do not have to bother preparing warm water and bottles to prepare drinks for their babies. For families, breastfeeding provides benefits and advantages because it is enough for babies to be breastfed for the first 6 months so that it reduces spending on buying formula milk. The purpose of this community service is to increase the knowledge of pregnant mother about exclusive breastfeeding so she can prepare for exclusive breastfeeding from an early age. In Giripurwo Wonogiri Village, the coverage of exclusive breastfeeding is quite high, reaching 90% of the total number of breastfeeding mothers (state midwife). However, it would be better if pregnant mother were given additional information about exclusive breastfeeding because the preparation for exclusive breastfeeding began during pregnancy.
