Artificial intelligence for assisting self reliance and mutual cooperation in super aging society

Abstract

We describe the research and development and social implementation of AI that supports independence and symbiosis promoted by the Institute of Care Informatics, Shizuoka University and the Dementia Information Society of Japan. Artificial intelligence (AI) is a common sense research that considers the concept of evidence integration that underlies Evidence-Based-Medicine and the commonalities of artificial intelligence from the perspective of academic fields related to various technologies and application areas. We show the possibility of contributing to the realization of Evidence-Based-Care. Care informatics research that can be mutually utilized by gathering and sharing research related to care and knowledge of practical sites within the framework of “everyone’s dementia informatics” based on Citizen Informatics that emphasizes the perspectives of the parties concerned. Based on the development platform, we are building a social implementation system that involves local governments. Efforts for “town development that supports the health and longevity of citizens using AI” centered on “a mechanism for everyone to learn about dementia” can be expected to create model cases for reducing social security costs and improving the QOL of the parties concerned.
