Drug-resistant tuberculosis is one of major complication in tuberculosis management, causing 240,000 deaths in the year 2016. Indonesia currently ranks 27th among countries with highest drug-resistant tuberculosis burden worldwide. Of 22 patients, 40.9% were >45 years old, 54.5% were male, 81.8% had history of tuberculosis, 90.9% had pulmonary tuberculosis, 50% were high school graduates, 31.8% were housewives, and 36.4% lived in South Ternate. Most drug-resistant tuberculosis patients admitted in the dr. H. Chasan Boesoirie General Hospital were male, aged >45 years, with previous history of tuberculosis, diagnosed with pulmonary tuberculosis, high school graduates, housewives, and living in Ternate.
