Abstract
This paper analyses the co-parenting groups projects emerging in Madrid over the last years. The document explores the concept of community applied in these community-led initiatives for childcare and their capacity to overcome the existing inequalities of the current care system. Results show that participants develop a strong sense of belonging to these care-oriented communities, a shared social identity that limits their capacity to reach other groups and contribute to a larger process of social change.
