Abstract

The surrounding environment and the conductor current along the railway traction network have a great impact on the wire resistance. In order to obtain the more accurate and more realistic power flow calculation of the traction network, by introducing the electro-thermal coupling theory into the traction network power flow calculation, the traction power supply system and the power flow calculation method with the impact of electro-thermal coupling were analyzed. Firstly, the electro-thermal coupling theory of the overhead transmission lines was analyzed. Secondly, based on the traction power supply mode, a general equivalent circuit model for the traction power flow calculation was established. Finally, a dynamic power flow calculation model and its algorithm considering the effect of electro-thermal coupling were proposed. The results show that the proposed power flow calculation method takes into account the influence of environmental parameters and the current on transmission lines. The results lay the foundation for the further study of power flow calculation under the complex traction network model considering the influence of electro-thermal coupling.
