Abstract

The branching positions in the glucuronide moieties of desacyl-jegosaponin (1), desacyl-boninsaponin A (2), and sakuraso-saponin (3) have been reinvestigated. It has been found that the branching positions in the glucuronide moieties of these glucuronide saponins should be revised to C-2 and C-3 from the previously assigned C-2 and C-4. © 1980, The Pharmaceutical Society of Japan.
