Abstract

Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) is inhaling up to 100% oxygen at a pressure greater than one atm in a pressurized chamber. It is considered as alternative medicine. Hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been investigated for number of medical conditions e.g. autism, traumatic brain injury, wound healing and inflammatory bowel diseases. This review highlights the therapeutic effects of hyperbaric oxygen therapy as recent agent.
