Abstract

Lead poisoning is a major public health issues that affect pediatric age group with different multi-organ damage. In children for instance, it has been discovered that there is no small level or appreciable quantity of lead exposure that is safe for children because of developmental growth and cognitive development at this very crucial stage of life. Children are at very high risk because of their hand-to-mouth explorative behaviors at this developmental age thereby leading to unintentional ingestion of lead.
