Abstract

Summary: Two case reports describe percutaneous transtracheal ventilation using an intermittent jet of oxygen under high pressure in an 11-year-old child undergoing operation for laryngeal stenosis and a 6-year-old child with mandibular facial dysostosis, who became obstructed and cyanosed in the recovery room. © 1974 John Sherratt and Son Ltd.
