Upaya Pengendalian Faktor Risiko Penyakit Hipertensi di RW 11 dan 13 Kelurahan Kotawetan Kabupaten Garut

Abstract

ABSTRAK Pada saat ini penyakit hipertensi telah menyebabkan meningkatnya angka kesakitan dan kematian.  Seringkali gejala penyakit hipertensi tidak tampak sehingga lolos dari deteksi melalui anamnese tenaga medis. Hal ini menyebabkan hipertensi dijumpai pada tingkat yang lebih parah sehingga susah untuk dipulihkan. Untuk mengatasi permasalahan itu sangat diperlukan adanya kemampuan masyarakat untuk mengandalikan faktor risikonya. Maka kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan  pengetahuan masyarakat tentang cara mengendalikan faktor risiko hipertensi. Dengan kegiatan ini diharapkan masyarakat memiliki kemampuan yang baik tentang deteksi dini penyakit hipertensi. Metode pada kegiatan ini adalah pendidikan kesehatan pada masyarakat RW 11 dan RW 13 tentang pengendalian faktor risiko penyakit hipertensi. Jumlah peserta yang hadir sebanyak 45 orang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan rata rata nilai hasil pretest sebesar 55 point dan rata rata nilai posttest sebesar 87 point. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan pengabdian ini adalah  bertambahnya tingkat pengetahuan masyarakat RW 11 dan RW 13 tentang pengendelian faktor risiko hipertensi sebesar 32 point. Kegiatan yang sudah dilaksanakan diharapkan dapat berkelanjutan secara mandiri pada masyarakat di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Guntur. Kata Kunci: Faktor Risiko, Hipertensi, Pengendalian  ABSTRACT At this time hypertension has caused increased morbidity and mortality. Often the symptoms of hypertension are not visible so that they escape detection through anamnesis of medical personnel. This causes hypertension to be found at a more severe level so that it is difficult to recover. To overcome this problem, it is very necessary to have the ability of the community to rely on risk factors. So this activity aims to increase public knowledge about how to control hypertension risk factors. With this activity it is hoped that the community will have good skills regarding early detection of hypertension. The method for this activity is health education in the RW 11 and RW 13 communities regarding controlling the risk factors for hypertension. The number of participants who attended were 45 people. The results of the activity showed an average pretest result of 55 points and an average posttest score of 87 points. The conclusion from this community service activity is that the level of knowledge of the RW 11 and RW 13 community about hypertension risk factor control is increased by 32 points.
