Post-Soviet design of human mobility

Abstract

The article presents forecasting assumptions of change in immigration design of the post-Soviet area in a short-term perspective. The following aspects are outlined: transformation of methodology for international migration measurement, a generative nature of global organizations' activity, the emergence of new mechanisms for insti-tutionalization of multilateral agreements. The content emphasizes the need to consider transregional specificity in the practice of migration flows management. The research methodology relies on a combination of postulates of migration, human capital and foresight theories using a regional approach. To solve problems in the forecasting logic, the statistical information contained in documents of the United Nations specialized agencies, OECD, the Federal Service of State Statistics of the Russian Federation, media reports and case studies is presented in its quantitative, estimated and vector values. The structural features of human mobility are shown, "international migration" is defined as a separate term.
