Peut-on classer les universités à l'aune de leur performance d'insertion ?

Abstract

This research examines the possibilities of ranking higher education institutions based on graduate employment indicators. Our empirical results and a review of the literature reveal that the heterogeneous nature of the student population at different institutions and differences regarding the context of regional labour markets may have a significant impact on graduate employment performance. Once the impact of these factors have been examined for different types of higher education institution (universities other than university institutes of technology, university institutes of technology and Schools of Engineering), it is difficult to identify their specific influence on individual institutions and, thereby, rank them.
