POSSIBILITIES OF USING BLOCKCHAIN TECHNOLOGY IN THE AREA OF EDUCATION

Abstract

Recently, we hear more and more about conversational interfaces, virtual and augmented reality, the Internet of Things and Big Data and new applications of artificial intelligence. But the real attention is attracted by the blockchain technology, which may soon radically revolutionize the functioning of organizations, including those operating in the education sector. The article describes the advantages and possibilities of using blockchains in various areas and sectors of the economy. The aim of the article is to present the benefits of using solutions based on blockchain technology and to show their advantage over currently available internet solutions, especially in the area of education. Based on literature studies, the main focus of the paper constituted the implementation of solutions based on blockchain technology in educational units around the world and the forecast of its further development, which has been outlined as well.
