Abstract

The perception of what is understood by Archaeology of Architecture may vary significantly from one country to another depending on their respective historiographical traditions. A comprehensive study must still be conducted of the various approaches and methodologies regarding constructions and built environments; a material reality that contains multiple dimensions and that can be observed from a wide range of time, spatial and conceptual scopes. With this brief paper, we would like to provide an initial synthesis of this complicated puzzle, particularly for those starting out in this subject. It promotes an open, plural, responsible, and committed approach to the Archaeology of Architecture. Copyright:
