Abstract

Porphyria cutanea tarda (PCT) has been described in association with various autoimmune disorders including dermatomyositis, rheumatoid arthritis, Felty's syndrome and, most freqently, lupus erythematosus. We describe two patients with discoid lupus erythematosus who subsequently developed PCT, possibly as a result of treatment with hydroxychloroquine.
