This chapter considers fatigue as a secondary but significant symptom in chronic conditions including rheumatoid arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease and cancer. The chapter describes studies that have investigated the nature of the fatigue experienced in these conditions together with systematic reviews concerning the efficacy of interventions to manage fatigue. Included in this chapter is an in-depth study into the fatigue reported by adults with the neurodevelopmental disorder developmental coordination disorder (DCD). A comparison of the nature of the fatigue in DCD is also compared to that of CFS.
