Some remarks on elastic-plastic deformation at finite strain

Abstract

A number of papers, e.g. by Lee and Liu, have appeared recently which are concerned with a non-isothermal theory of large elastic-plastic deformations. The limitations of this theory and its relationship to the more general thermodynamical theory of Green and Naghdi has not been made clear. The present paper is intended to provide the needed clarifications. © 1971.
